Prateek is an expert on lab-to-cash commercialization of innovations in AI, networks, and cryptography. His diverse experience spans across standards development, data network management, and cryptography applications. The hardest lessons he has learned on technology leadership are about fostering collaborations between extremely talented engineers and extremely demanding users.
Prateek is the Chief Technology Officer of Flytxt, where he focuses on building practical AI, and taking it from incubation to scale. Previously he held technology lead positions for packet data services at Reliance Communications and implemented cryptography algorithms at Algorithmic Research (now DocuSign) in Israel. Prateek was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), India, and has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay.
Prateek thinks the world is going the wrong way in eating, exercising, and teaching math and machine learning; he invites vigorous, and often futile, debates on these topics. He also follows meteor showers, comet trajectories and other visible cosmic events. He is an expert on predicting the time, position, and clarity of rainbows in the sky. He likes nature walks, sounds of guitars, and practicing Hebrew on unwilling Israelis. Prateek donates to charities for the girl child.
